Canadian Legislator Wants To Ban 50 Cent From Canada
A member of the ruling Canadian Liberal Party wants to stop 50 Cent from entering Canada because of his criminal record.
He doesn’t want the likes of a former criminal drug dealer whos been shot in Canada - so he’s bringing up Fiddie’s criminal past which would usually prevent other *LMS (See reference for LMS at bottom) with a criminal record from entering Canada.
“I do want the laws of Canada to apply to anybody who is a criminal, an admitted criminal, as Mr Curtis Jackson — known as 50 Cent — is. Under our laws … he would be deemed criminally inadmissible,” he told CBC television.
“the message at this time that he brings, one of glorifying gun violence, often (the) denigration of women”
If that was a reasoning for not letting in Americans you would probably have to bar half the US population from entering Canada.
“If we have young people as young as 14 leading gangs in my community around Toronto, we have to take into consideration that the message is often going to very impressionable people who think nothing of human life,”
Its amazing how 50 Cent has risen to popularity the way that he has. Without Dr Dre and Eminem he’d be nothing. He’s definitely a guy who wants it all.
His raps are mediore, its only because of his past, his image, and Dr Dre’s production and promotion that he’s such a huge seller.
Why he so glorified by a large section of the American public?
What do people like about him so much?
